Animal Rescue Cumbria

**Animal Rescue Cumbria - The Wainwright Shelter** Registered Charity No. 1153737. Founded in 1972, Animal Rescue Cumbria rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes around 350 cats and dogs each year. Based in Kendal, we assist with the rescue and rehoming of both cats and dogs throughout Cumbria. Many animals come into our care for various reasons, with unclaimed strays from local authority kennels making up a significant portion.
