**Bart's Legacy Cat Sanctuary** Located in Rochdale and serving Rochdale, Oldham, and sometimes beyond for the right home, Bart's Legacy Cat Sanctuary is a safe haven for stray cats and kittens. All cats are neutered, microchipped, health-checked, and treated for fleas and worms before they are placed in loving homes. Feral cats are also neutered, assessed, and rehomed if suitable, or returned to a safe location. Founded in 2018, Bart's Legacy is a small, unique sanctuary situated at the borders of Rochdale, Oldham, and Saddleworth. The sanctuary is named after a special cat named Bart Simpson, who lives a happy life with his human and feline family. The founder has been rescuing animals for over 40 years and has a passion for helping not just cats but other animals as well. Bart's is a friendly and nonjudgmental sanctuary. We understand that no one knows the full story behind a cat’s homelessness or the reasons why someone may need to rehome their pet. At Bart's, we strive to support owners in need.
